What is the coverage rate for TWP Stain?

2/17/2014

The coverage rate for TWP Stain varies for the type of stain, type of wood, age of wood, how dry the wood is, geographical location and more.  For example new wood that has not had time to dry out will absorb less stain than old wood that has not been treated.
Our TWP 100, 200 and 1500 series stains will have an average of 200 sq feet coverage rates.  However this can range from 100 sq feet to 400 square feet depending on the variables listed above.

TWP Stain only comes in the colors listed.  We do not custom mix colors.  However, you can mix colors within the same series on your own to get a different tone.  For a complete list of the available colors choose a link below:
Amteco TWP 100 Series Stain
Amteco TWP 200 Series Stain
Amteco TWP 300 Series Stain
Amteco TWP 1500 Series Stain
All the stains do come in clear - however clear does not protect against mildew nor does it have UV protection.

QUESTION:  I have flex trim arches on exterior windows on north side of my house. I have cleaned, primed, painted again and again.  Will TWP last for a while and will it work on flex trim.  Hope you can help...and what prep and final paint needs to be done.  Any special paint,we are using exterior latex now.  Also the mold / mildew is heavy.  Hope you can help..... Thank You,Theresa
ANSWER:
You can apply TWP Mildew Sealer to the flex trim since the material is plastic. The manufacture recommends top coating with 100% acrylic paint. As for as cleaning the flex trim, a good wash with bleach solution should remove any current mold on the surface.
